Sarah Belle Reid
Sarah Belle Reid
Sarah Belle Reid is a Canadian performer-composer, active in the fields of electroacoustic trumpet performance, intermedia arts, music technology, and improvisation. She is a co-developer of the Minimally Invasive Gesture Sensing Interface (MIGSI) for trumpet: an open-source, wireless interface that captures performance data and provides real-time extended sonic and visual control for improvisation. Reid has presented and performed with MIGSI at institutions and festivals around the world including Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA), the International Conference of New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME 2015: Brisbane, Australia), New Media Art & Sound Summit (NMASS 2017: Austin, TX), University of Oregon, UT Austin, and UC Irvine's Women in Music Technology Symposium (2016).

As a composer, Reid’s work focuses on liminality and memory imprints both in sound and physical performance—a fascination inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s writings on infrathin—as well as the integration of electronics, hybrid/new instruments, and found objects. In 2017 her composition “Flux” for amplified percussion quartet won the Grammy-nominated Los Angeles Percussion Quartet’s Next Wave Composer Initiative. She is a founding member of the trumpet/modular synthesizer duo Burnt Dot and the Sarah Belle Reid Quartet, dedicated to exploring open forms of spontaneous creation, realization of graphic scores, and electroacoustic collaboration.
Bonaventure
Bonaventure
Bonaventure is Soraya Lutangu’s nom de guerre. Under this alias, she has been developing sonic weaponry designed to confront oppressive power structures, tell the story of violence, indifference and abuse fuelled by racism, with Complexion released on NON Worldwide last year marking the prelude to her protest, , fully expressed on Free Lutangu released via PTP.
She uses music as an identity research tool along with practical and speculative initiatives to connect her African and European roots and investigate human relationships.
A regular on Berlin Community Radio, Bonaventure has also made herself at home for several hours on London’s NTS. Her radio mixes bring disparate genres into smooth sequences she refuses to protect from abrupt collisions.
DJ HARAM
DJ HARAM
DJ Haram is a producer and DJ originally from New Jersey, currently based in Philadelphia. Stylistically versatile, she throws down for Jersey, Philly, and Baltimore with club and booty bounce sets but also has been known to pay homage to her roots in the tradition of Middle Eastern dance music and of DIY noise and experimental sound. DJ Haram (along with Moor Mother) is 1/2 of the noise/rap group 700 BLISS. In spring 2017 Haram composed and original score for the debut tour of Richard Siegal’s Munich-based modern dance company “Ballet of Difference.” Dj Haram participated in Redbull Music Academy Bass Camp in summer 2017. While in Philly Haram curates a few nights; a legal fundraiser party series (f)LAWLESS, a monthly live/DIY hip hop night ‘Gas’, and a monthly radio program RAGE RADIO on 91.7FM. She has curated events for MoMa Ps1 Sunday Sessions and Fringe Arts Festival Philadelphia. Dj Haram is touring North America and Europe in summer/fall 2017; recent and upcoming tour highlight performances include Unsound Krakow, MoMa Ps1 Warm Up, Bonnaroo, De School Amsterdam, Creamcake Berlin, Razzmatazz Barcelona, Damas Lisbon, Paradox Baltimore, GHE2OG0TH1K New York City, Club Chai Oakland, and Drake Hotel Toronto.
Noncompliant (DJ Shiva)
Noncompliant (DJ Shiva)
or over 20 years, Noncompliant (aka DJ Shiva) has brought a multitude of techno flavors to dancefloors far and wide. From the deepest to the darkest techno, she is a purveyor of variety in both music and technique. Her technical skills on the decks are highly respected, but her truest talent lies in her knack for contrast and composition.

Her musical output is known for its drive and grit; each tune a slice of machine funk with a layer of dirt thrown on top. Her latest project as Noncompliant takes a hardware-based approach that refreshes her sound palette while maintaining her goal of pure dancefloor destruction. For the last four years, her biweekly internet show, SUBterror Radio, featured both her techno selections and guest mixes from techno talent the world over.

From her latest productions on Valence and Flash Recordings, to her recent appearance at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Noncompliant is expanding her sonic reach and bringing her energetic take on techno to audiences everywhere.
