Neville's Quarter
Lex Headley is a talented vocalist, violinist, and pianist. As a daughter of a choir director, she grew up in a musical home and environment. Lex was privately coached in voice, piano, and violin on and off as a teenager and then all throughout college at Syracuse University. From this background she has inherited a passion for employing music theory and solfege into her work as a musician. A trait that turns Brian Moyer green with envy. But it's okay it's actually his favorite color. Her musical styles range from classical, jazz, musical theater, opera, folk, and even occasionally, to EDM. One of her favorite musical past times is going to the Song Circle at Johnny's in Carrboro, where she has been slowly developing her skills, thanks to Brian, as a guitarist.

Brian Moyer is a songwriter of a different breed. He grew up listening mainly to rap and hip hop music. It wasn't until his late teenage years that he finally opened his mind to other genres. He credits the smooth understandable lyrics and rhyme schemes in many of his songs today to his musical roots of rap and hip hop. Inspired by his musical friends, he learned to play the guitar while in college. As soon as he learned his first chord, the D chord, he wrote his first song "They Call It Love"... using just that one chord. Although he never was formally taught music, Brian has never been haltered by it. Through pure determination and grit, Brian has written over 35 songs since that first year of learning the guitar. Many people have compared his voice to Cat Stevens, though at the moment he draws his inspiration from the Punch Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, The Avett Brothers, and The Steel Wheels.

Neville's Quarter is the place where Brian and Lex's love for music come together to form a fun and energetic sound!
